Mister Glue is an industrial cyanoacrylate. It is made up of the same base as superglue or Krazy Glue and can be used for numerous commercial and industrial applications.

  • If you own and hearing aid and it breaks you may want to try and fix it yourself. As long as the plastic has not bent or twisted and there are no pieces missing, then Mister Glue will do the job very effectively. It will bond the plastics that are used in the manufacture of the hearing aids very effectively. And permanently.

One cured the glue is completely non-toxic.

Use a small amount on one side of the two pieces that are to be bonded. Place the two parts together very snugly and and hold for a few seconds. It is done!

Full cure time is several hours but after the first few seconds the two pieces will not come apart again. MIster Glue dries clear and flexible.

Generally, hearing aid manufacturers find working with Mister Glue beneficial as it can be left open for hours without drying out or clogging. It is as strong or stronger than most of the Loctite products that are used for this purpose.

If you are a manufacturer of hearing aids, we have volume discounts - please contact us for details.

  • Description text goes hereThere are plenty of ways to glue wood together: white glues and yellow glues. You would not use Mister Glue for 'broad strokes'.

But there are some situations where it will be more useful to use Mister Glue for wood. Best for small projects and it is an 'instant glue' so if you need something repaird so that you can keep working it is ideal.

The main benefits to using Mister Glue with wood is that it is extremely quick. It bonds extremely well but then so do many other glues. With Mister Glue it only takes seconds to glue two pieces of wood together and one can continue working.

Full cure time is several hours but I have glued two pieces of wood together with Mister Glue and tried to pry them apart after 30 minutes or an hour and the wood tears and splits.

With Mister Glue the tighter the fit the better the bond. More is not always better with this instant glue.

This type of glue (cyanoacrylate) reacts to the presence of moisture so extremely dry wood is a little trickier for the lack of moisture and the fact that too much of the glue gets absorbed into the wood.

There are two solutions for this.  One is to use our Accelerator.  If you are concerned about the end product being waterproof, this is the way to go.  Spread the Accelerator on one side and leave for 30 seconds or so and you can apply Mister Glue to the other side. Then press the two firmly together.

Another solution to this is a spray bottle. Mist the surface with some water, wipe off any excess moisture and leave for a little while to absorb into the wood. You definitely do not want the surface wet when you apply the glue.

Generally, apply a small amount of glue to one side only. Depending on how large of an area: dot the corners and center or criss-cross or a square around the edge - then press the two sides together and hold for several seconds. Press wood together in such a way that the glue spreads over as much of the surface as possible. I always hold it longer than necessary - I've been using this particular type of cyanoacrylate for years and still can't believe how quick it is.

If you have a split in the wood that you are trying to repair and cannot access the whole surface Mister Glue will wick into the wood. Try this: put two pieces of wood together and run and bead along the seam and watch it wick in and glue the two pieces. A simple way to glue wood to wood.

Now you can continue to work; cutting, sanding, etc. You do not have to wait hours as you would with a yellow or white glue.

    Mister Glue is also waterproof.

  • Mister Glue's Instant Glue is perfect for repairs and manufacturing smaller pieces, offering a cost-effective solution without compromising on quality. It dries clear and flexible, is waterproof, and will not dry out in the bottle.

Ideal Uses: Vinyl tarps and accessories, straps Hypalon raft repair, vinyl raft repair, pinhole leaks, strap and ring repair and replacement Kayak repair, inflatable boats, rafts, and dinghies of all sorts Boat and marine repairs: clear vinyl windows, vinyl seats, PVC Swimming pool liners: repair tears and pinhole leaks Automobile repairs: clear vinyl windows, tears on tops, interior hard vinyl breaks, and seat vinyl Camping: air mattresses Inflatable trampolines

Repair Tips for Pinhole Leaks in Inflatable Rafts, Dinghies, or Air Mattresses: If the raft has a removable floor, take it out. Inflate the raft hard and spread water with a bit of dish detergent to watch for small bubbles. Mark the spots with a marker but continue checking for more leaks, as valves are often the culprit. Ensure the O-ring is good and replace if necessary. Once all leaks are marked, deflate the raft or mattress. Use a small patch of the same material with Mister Glue's Instant Glue. Ensure the patch is large enough; too small, and it could come loose. Although the Instant Glue sets immediately, allow full cure time of several hours, ideally overnight. For a less noticeable repair, cut the patch into a decorative shape.

Fishing and Boating Tip: Always carry a bottle of Mister Glue and some patches when fishing or boating, especially in inflatables. Even small tears can be quickly repaired, getting you back on track. Mister Glue can also be used to repair lures.

  • How to fix furniture when you have a loose joint:

Loose furniture joints can be a pain if there are for example only one or two in the struts in the chair back that are loose. One has a choice of leaving the loose furniture to get worse or try and take the whole chair apart to re-glue which can be quite a project.

Repairing furniture when it is lose and wobbly can take a few minutes with a few drops of Mister Glue. If you have a joint that is loose but the fit is still quite tight when the dowel, leg or whatever is pressed all the way in then just add a drop or two of glue to the seam. It will wick in to a dowelled joint and bond in a few seconds. One does not need to use wood clamps in this instance - the bond will be fully set by the time you get the clamps attached. The simplest is to press the two pieces together as tightly as you can with your hands.

A crack or split in the wood due to someone sitting too heavily or some such can be repaired the same way. If you can open up the split a little without making it worse then do so and squeeze a small drop or two into the crevice. Then press the two surfaces together. Again it will take only a few seconds repairing wood this way. Again, it will wick in nicely.  (See Video below)

If you have put a bit too much and some squeezes or beads to the surface then leave it to set up instead of wiping. If you wipe, it will smear. At that point it is much more difficult to remove. Let the bit of glue that squeezed out set for a bit until it has hardened some; once it has set up a little then just take a sharp knife and scrape it off.

Although one uses the tiniest bit of Mister Glue in repair like this if you are doing a major repair - taking the whole chair or table or whatever apart then it is probably much wiser to use a white or yellow carpenter's glue.

If you are able to separate the two pieces that you are gluing enough remember that you need to apply very little Mister Glue and only to one side.

Mister Glue will last you years if you take care of it. It is an industrial grade cyanoacrylate (super glue) making it much stronger than super glue or Krazy Glue and it does not dry out in the bottle.

    Wood to Other Materials

Mister Glue will bond almost any material to wood as well. Metal, most hard plastics like PVC and loran, ceramic and many others. When you have a porous material like wood use the Accelerator to prime it. Apply Mister Glue to the other side or other material.

  • Mister Glue is simply amazing for fixing the bits and pieces on a spray on bed liner. (Line-X, Rhino Liners and others).

It is very handy to have around when you are making a spray on truck bed liner of any sort.  Mister Glue will repair your mistakes - not that you have any but, you know, just in case!  A cut that is too long or a gouge can be fixed in seconds.  Mister Glue is water proof and flexible so don’t worry about it coming apart. Polyurethanes(liner material) are 'sticky' but what do you use to repair it?

If a drain hole is cut incorrectly, repair in seconds with Mister Glue.  You can also use to fasten the drain or if the drain in the liner or a trailer or jeep has to be relocated for any reason.

Try this when you drop a screw or a nut somewhere that your fingers won’t reach to get it out.  Add a drop or two of Mister glue to a wire, reach it in and hold against the stray nut or bolt for a few seconds then lift out.

  • How to repair granite chips: You can repair granite chips almost seamlessly with Mister Glue. The nature of this glue makes it so the tighter the fit of the two pieces the better the bond. Mister Glue is an industrial cyanoacrylate which is the same base as superglue or Krazy Glue. It has been distilled numerous times so that the solvents have been removed resulting in a product that is many times stronger than supe glue.

If a corner has broken off a granite countertop clean both surfaces of dust and dirt. Try not to scrape or sand as this will change the shape making for an imperfect fit. Mister Glue will not fill gaps and as said earlier the closer the fit the better. It is a good idea to practice a little putting the pieces together because you do not have much time to move them around once they touch.

Once you know that the fit is exact, place a small bit of glue on one surface of the broken granite. Make sure that is enough that it will cover the whole surface - spreading when the two pieces are pressed together. Hold the two sections of granite tightly together for a few seconds - a bit longer if the section is larger. Some of the glue may squeeze out of the joint - leave that to dry up a bit then take an Exacto Knife and gently scrape off the excess. If you wipe it the glue will spread and possibly stain the stone.

Full cure time is several hours but it takes only seconds for a tight, secure bond to occur. Most of the time you will not be able to remove the piece within a few seconds.

If the granite is very porous you can use a bit more glue or an accelerator. Sometimes water will work as an accelerator - it primes the surface so that the glue will not soak in. If you use water to prime the surface, let it 'dry' before applying the glue. You definitely do not want a wet surface.

For a small granite chip on the edge of the seam that is still left after you have glued the two pieces, you can take a bit of dust from the granite - grind it and place it in the crack and put a few drops of glue over it. Let it set then you can scrape or sand it smooth. It will be the same color but the finish will obviously be different.

    Marble

Do you have a chip broken off your marble countertop?
How do you fix a cracked marble slap on a fireplace?

    What is marble?
Marble is metamorphosed limestone, composed of fairly pure calcite (a crystalline form of calcium carbonate, CaCO3). It is extensively used for sculpture, as an building material, and in many other applications. Pressure and heat create marble from limestone or dolostone. The various colors result from various minerals present.
Faux Marble is composed of marble dust and often synthetic resin.

    How to fix marble?

A corner broken off and marble countertop or fireplace hearth can be difficult to repair without leaving an ugly seam. Mister Glue needs a very tight fit - the closer the two pieces the better the bond - so it generally leaves much more than a hairline crack. This does depend on how the break happened and if the edges are still intact.
Take a light brush or cloth and remove any and all dust from the two surfaces that you are going to glue together. Apply the glue to only one surface. Make sure that you minimally run a bead around the edges so that it is sealed. Criss-cross it a couple of times so that when you squeeze the pieces together that most of the surface is covered. But do not use too much as was said before you want a tight a fit as possible. Gently squeeze the two pieces together allowing any excess to come out the edges. Hold tightly together for a few seconds. Thirty seconds should be plently if it is a small piece. If it is a larger one then you may want to hold it longer. Mister Glue has a very secure bond within seconds but full cure time is several hours. If it is a much larger piece you may want to support it somehow. I have only tested this on smaller pieces not on the much larger.
The glue that has squeezed out the edges you can leave until it has dried a bit but not till it is too hard. Take a sharp knife and gently scrape off the excess.
If there are holes left because edges were not perfect these can be filled with some marble 'dust' and glue. Place the dust in the opening/hole and add a few drops of glue. Let this cure fully and sand or scrape. It will not have the same finish but will be sealed and water proof.

When you put the bottle away tap it down a couple of times and squeeze it gently to clear the spout. Store upright in the freezer and it will last your for years. Hundreds of uses.

  • Repair Plumbing Fixtures

I'm assuming that you already know how to glue PVC pipe. And that you will commonly use PVC pipe glue. But I do get asked a lot about how to superglue PVC. Well, for starters I wouldn't use super glue for this purpose for a number of reasons. It is not strong enough and because it is a consumer-grade product it has solvents. The solvents in it make it dry out quickly in the bottle but also make it brittle and it is not waterproof. Not something that you want to use to cement PVC that is going to have water going through it under great pressure.

    Watch Video

Mister Glue is a commercial-grade cyanoacrylate manufactured in Germany. It has been distilled several times so that the solvents have been completely distilled out. This makes it many times stronger than super glue and it has other benefits when working with PVC pipe.

Because of the strength and tenacity of this cyanoacrylate, one can bond two ends of PVC pipe together permanently - they will not come apart. If you want to test this, take two small pieces and put a bead of Mister Glue around the end of one piece. Make sure that you cover all of the end as you do not want any gaps. There is no rush to get the two pieces together but it is important to get them together the way you want them the first time. Mister Glue is very fast bonding and you have VERY little time to move the two pieces into place. Give the bonded material a minute to set then try and twist them apart. They won't come apart.

Even so, the full cure time is several hours. Give it 20-30 minutes or even less and hit the two pieces hard with a hammer. It will break somewhere else than where you glued it. Normally, you would leave the bond for longer before putting it under stress but the point is that this cyanoacrylate is more than up to the job.

Once cured Mister Glue is fully non-toxic so if you are using in lines with potable water there is no danger of contaminating the water in any way.

Another benefit to using Mister Glue is that if you are in a tight spot and it is difficult to remove pieces to screw parts together and you do have room to fit them end to end then you can easily use this instead of PVC cement.

  • How do you fix laminate counter tops when an edge has come loose?

Sometimes the smallest bit has come up on the countertop at an edge where it could easily get worse if it is not repaired but seems to small to easily fix. There are different glues around to fix laminate but many are not easy to apply in a situation where a small edge like this has lifted. The stresses on laminate or vinyl can make it lift a small amount so the best type of glue to use is one that will wick into or between the crack that has been created. Mister Glue is thin enough and it will flow or wick easily between the raised bit of laminate and the surface beneath. Also, with this particular cyanoacrylate(Mister Glue is the same base as super glue but is a high end commercial version) the tighter the fit between the two surfaces the better the eventual bond. This means that you won't end up with a small raised section because of the thickness of the new glue. A very, very small amount will also spread evenly because these surfaces will be very close together.

If the raised part is on a flat surface of the laminate countertop then put the tip of the bottle at the edge of the separated part and squirt a very small amount in to the gap. If this edge is fairly long then run the tip along as you squirt the glue. Press very firmly on the lifted area once you have applied the glue. Use your palm or a small piece of wood or something else that is flat that will put even pressure. This pressure on the vinyl or laminate should only be needed for 30 seconds or less.

If the facia part of a laminate countertop has come loose then remember that Mister Glue is very runny and gravity is involved. Put something underneath in case it drips - you don't want to have to clean up unnecessarily. I would suggest something like cardboard as paper or fabric can make matters worse: Mister Glue can run through the fabric or dropcloth and stick to the floor or whatever surface is there and then you would have the compounded problem of fabric stuck to a vinyl or wood floor with a super glue type glue.

One other thing you may have to contend with is some of the glue may squeeze out the seam between the two parts of the laminate. If you wipe it with a cloth it will certainly smear. Acetone will clean it up but can also damage your laminate or vinyl countertop. I suggest that you leave the bit of glue for half an hour or so where it has squeezed out of the seam and then when it is hardened enough, use an Exacto knife to gently scrape the excess off.

  • Sawdust Fillers, etc., with Mister Glue

There are many instances where you may need a filler with Mister Glue.  A stripped screw hole, a gap between two pieces of wood.  A hole our gouge in a wood carving.

There are a number of things you can use as a filler depending on what you are trying to repair.  Sawdust would be my first choice when repairing wood.  For example, a screw comes lose in a leg of wooden table or door hinge.  Remove the screw and use some fine sawdust in layers with mister glue to fill the hole.  Tamp the sawdust down each time.  The glue will soak in but not all the way if it is a deep hole - that is why you want to do it in layers.  Let it fully cure.  Then you can take your drill and drill bit and re drill the hole in the exact place you need.  Once the screw is back in it will be completely solid.

A loose or wobbly chair can be repaired with fine sawdust or something like baking soda.  You can do the repair without taking the chair or table apart.  The baking soda is very fine so will work into any gaps very easily.  Work the powder into the gap and once full, add a few drops of Mister Glue.  It should set up within a few seconds.

For gouges in wood carving or a dinged table or chair it works pretty much the same.  You can use different materials if you would like to match colour.  Most fillers you can sand and tool.  Some get pretty hard.  I’ve used coffee as a filler for the color.  If you are using sawdust and Mister Glue, it will take paint but won’t always stain the same colour as the original.

  • Using Mister Glue as Thread Locker or in place of Loctite

Mister Glue has a thousand different uses one of which is to hold fast screws so they do not come loose. This will work whether it is on your eyeglasses or on a serious piece of machinery.

Make sure that the surfaces are clean of oil or dirt. Allow any solvents to dry before applying Mister Glue.

Wind the screw part way in and be prepared to turn immediately or as you apply the glue. Mister Glue is very fast acting and if you wait to turn the screw it will be in place and difficult to move.  Using a electric drill or some such to power the screw in won't hurt.

Apply a drop or two of the glue depending on the size of the screw. If it is tiny like that of an eye glass screw then you may want to use a pin or toothpick to apply. It will be easier to control the amount this way so that you don't put too much on. As soon as the glue is applied or as you apply it begin turning the screw and keep turning it until it is quite tight.  I've seen a couple of people add a drop of the Accelerator on top of the glue after the screw has been fully fastened.  Usually where the fit is not perfectly tight.  One of those instances where it was a loose screw on a pair of glasses that kept coming out because is was not a perfect size - after applying Mister Glue and then the Accelerator afterwards it stayed solidly in place for at least three years.  (At that point the glasses were thrown out so...)

Allow 9-12 hours for full cure. If you are using this with machinery that has some vibration you will want to allow the full cure time. On a pair of glasses, you will want to allow enough time for the fumes to have dissipated so that there is no eye irritation.

  • Wood is not always predictable. You are carving away, and all of a sudden, there is a split in the wood. There are different ways to repair this, one of which is using Mister Glue's Instant Glue. Remember, it will not stain. You can work with the wood almost immediately, but if you plan on staining, be careful how you apply Mister Glue.

If the space that the glue has to go into is very small, you may want to put a drop of the glue on a toothpick or pin and insert it into the crack in the wood. Ideally, you don't want the glue to seep into the wood at the surface because, as I mentioned, it won't stain. If you are painting, then this won't be a problem.

It takes only a few moments for this glue to set up so that you can continue working. It is an industrial cyanoacrylate—very strong and very quick. If needed, you can use it with a bit of sawdust as a filler as well.

You can use wood glues this way as well, but you will have to wait while they set up fully and hold or clamp them together, which is not always the easiest thing to do when trying to repair a wood carving.

Hidden imperfections in the wood can easily show up in a number of ways. One is that a small piece of wood can split. A drop of Mister Glue is the quickest fix. Gluing wood in this instance can be messy and difficult if you use white glue. The wood may be split very slightly, and by opening it up, you risk making it much worse.

Mister Glue will wick into the fissure: You can even have the two pieces of wood pressed together and put a drop on the edge, and it will wick. I like to have the split relaxed, put a drop on, then press the two pieces firmly together. If it is a very small split and you want better control over how much glue goes into the crack, use a toothpick or pin to transfer the glue from the tip of the bottle to the split in the wood. It takes only a few seconds for the glue to set. You can wait a few minutes to continue your carving, or you can wait until the next day.

Once the glue bond has set up, you will be able to easily sand or tool this section.
